6- How can the real and firm adherence of the Noble Quran be fulfilled?

Real adherence to the Noble Quran and the sound fulfillment of its instructions and command is actually a branch of the sound understanding and Fiqh. There is nothing better than understanding what Allah, The Almighty, really wants from us. The Noble Quran was not sent down for us except to contemplate it thoughtfully, understand its secrets, and apply its rulings in all the affairs of our life.

7- The best speech was reported about the Noble Quran is what is reported from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him:

The best and most honored one spoke about the Noble Quran, praising its virtues and merits, explaining its verses and illustrating its meanings is the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.

Ibn Abi Haatim, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said: "Allah, The Almighty, sent Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, as His Messenger, for all people and sent down to him the Book as clarification for all things and entrusted him to point out on his behalf saying (what says):

•   {…And We revealed to you the message that you may make clear to the people what was sent down to them and that they might give thought.} [Quran 16: 44]

•   {And We have not revealed to you the Book, [O Muhammad], except for you to make clear to them that wherein they have differed…} [Quran 16: 64]

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, is the one who explained the command of Allah, The Almighty, illustrated the words and indications of His Book for the people as well as pointed out what He The Exalted prescribed of the meanings of His religion, rulings, obligations, enjoinments, recommended acts and traditions he made, rulings that he judged with and the traces he left." (1).

Al-Imam Ash-Shaatibi, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said: "Sunnah came to explain the Book and point out its meanings. Therefore, Allah, The Almighty, Says (what means):

•   {... And We revealed to you the message that you may make clear to the people what was sent down to them…} [Quran 16: 44]

•   {O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord…} [Quran 16: 67]

Such announcement is of two kinds: conveying the message which the Book, explains its meanings and this is what the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, did. If we contemplate well Sunnah, we will find that it points out the Noble Quran and this is the general matter in it." (2)

Sheykh Al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said: "If you ask what is the best method of Tafseer, the answer is that the best way is to explain the Quran through the Quran. For, what the Quran alludes to at one place is explained at the other, and what it says in brief on one occasion is elaborated upon at the other. But if this does not help you, you should turn to the Sunnah, because the Sunnah explains and elucidates the Quran. Imam Abu ‘Abdullaah Muhammad Ibn Idrees Ash-Shaafi‘I has said: "All that the Prophet, peace be upon him, has said is what he has derived from the Quran." Allah has said:

•   {Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muْammad], the Book in truth so you may judge between the people by that which Allah has shown you. And do not be for the deceitful an advocate. } [Quran 4: 105]

•   {[We sent them] with clear proofs and written ordinances. And We revealed to you the message that you may make clear to the people what was sent down to them and that they might give thought.} [Quran 16: 44]

•   {And We have not revealed to you the Book, [O Muhammad], except for you to make clear to them that wherein they have differed and as guidance and mercy for a people who believe.} [Quran 16: 64]

Therefore, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I have been given the Quran and something like it along with it" (3) Namely the Sunnah. In fact, the Sunnah, too has been given to him through revelation as the Quran, except that it has not been recited to him as the Quran. Imam Ash-Shaafi‘i and other scholars have advanced a number of arguments in support of this point; but this is not the place to quote them.

In order to understand the Quran, you should first look to the Quran itself. If that does not help, then turn to the Sunnah." (4).

Following this approach regarding the relationship of the honorable Sunnah with the Noble Quran of including illustration to the virtues of the Noble Quran, explanation of its verses, discussing of its recitation, scholars of Hadeeth throughout different centuries have paid much attention to such narrations that serve the Noble Quran through such aspects that we have stated. Some of them wrote in Tafseer bil-ma’thoor (5) such as Ath-Thawri, Maalik ibn Anas, Wakee‘ ibn Al-Jarraah, Sufyaan ibn ‘Uyaynah, ‘Abder-Razzaaq ibn Hammam  As-San‘aani, Al-Firyaabi, Ibn Abi Shaybah, Ishaaq ibn Raahawayh, Imam Ahmad ibn Hnabal, ‘Abde ibn Humayd, Ad-Daarimi, Ibn Maajah Al-Qazweeny, Baqyy ibn Mukhalad, Ibn Jareer At-Tabari, Ibn Abi Haatim, Abu As-Shaykh Al-Asbahaani, Ibn Shaheen, Ibn Mardiwayh, Imam Al-Baghawi and Imam As-Suyuti (6).

Some of them also included in the books they wrote regarding the Hadeeth of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, narrations about Tafseer, virtues of the Noble Quran and recitations such as Sa‘eed ibn Mansoor in his Sunan, Imam Ahmad in his Musnad, Imam Al-Bukhaari in his Jaami‘, Imam At-Tirmithi in his Jaami‘, Imam An-Nasaa‘i in his Sunan Al-Kubra, Imam Al-Haakim in his Mustadrak, Imam Ibn Al-Atheer in his great book Jaami‘ Al-Usool fi Ahadeeth Ar-Rasool, peace and blessings be upon him, Imam Al-Haythami in his book Majma‘ Az-Zwaa'id wa manba‘ Al-Fawaa'id.

As a form of following those great scholars and adopting their footsteps and a way of experiencing the greatness of the Noble Quran via the honorable Sunnah and a service to our beloved readers who contact us day and night on our website http://www.alssunnah.com, we are determined, seeking the help of Allah, The Almighty, and with his power to live with the Noble Quran, its virtues, its Tafseer, and its recitations via this new chapter. We will, Allah willing, be keen on mentioning the accepted Hadeeths away from the rejected ones. We will also mention, while discussing them, both aspects of narrating and understanding them. From our perspective, this will be more effective in presentation and more beneficial for our dear readers. If we are guided and succeed in this, then all perfect praise is due to Allah, The Almighty, otherwise, we have done our best and the one does so surely get reward whether he is correct or not.

The Virtues of the Noble Quran:

In the honorable prophetic Sunnah, there are Hadeeths speak about the virtues of the Noble Quran from three perspectives:

Firstly, Hadeeths speaks about the virtues of the Noble Quran in general.

Secondly, Hadeeths speaks about the virtues of some chapters of the Noble Quran.

Thirdly, Hadeeths speaks about the virtues of some verses of the Noble Quran.

Under this title that we have given to such chapter, we will review, Allah willing, Hadeeths related to the virtues of the Noble Quran in general. As for the Hadeeths that are related to the virtues some of the chapters of the Noble Quran or that are related to the virtues of some of its verses, we will, Allah Willing, mention them in the second chapter that is related to the explanation of Sunnah to the Noble Quran. That is because it is necessary when we review the Hadeeths that are related to the Tafseer of any Surah (i.e. chapter) is to state what is reported regarding the virtues of this chapter first, then mention the Hadeeths that are related to the explanation of some of its verses and mention the Hadeeths reported in its virtues if there are any.  This is actually what is required according to the scientific approach from one hand and in another hand not to distract the attention of the readers. We ask Allah to guide and render us successful.
