Thirdly, Believing in all what the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, has told us:

Amongst the basic principles and main pillars of Islam is to believe in the infallibility of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, against lying, accusations and believing him in all what he, peace and blessings be upon him, has told us about events in the past, present or things that are yet to come. In this regard, Allah, The Almighty, Says (what means): {By the star when it descends, Your companion [Muhammad] has not strayed, nor has he erred, Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination. It is not but a revelation revealed,} [Quran 53: 1-4]

The worst form of negligence; rather, it is the worst form of disbelief is to accuse or belie him in what he, peace and blessings be upon him, say. Therefore, Allah, The Almighty, dispraised the polytheists saying (what means): {And it was not [possible] for this Quran to be produced by other than Allah, but [it is] a confirmation of what was before it and a detailed explanation of the [former] Scripture, about which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds. Or do they say [about the Prophet], "He invented it?" Say, "Then bring forth a Soorah like it and call upon [for assistance] whomever you can besides Allah, if you should be truthful."  Rather, they have denied that which they encompass not in knowledge and whose interpretation has not yet come to them. Thus did those before them deny. Then observe how was the end of the wrongdoers.} [Quran 10: 37-39]

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said: "The best etiquette should be observed with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, is the complete obedience, perfect submission for his commands, accepting and believing in all of his words away from any false imagination, superstition or doubt, or gives precedence to the opinions or the dirties of the minds of other men over him. Thus, one has to dedicate all obedience, submission and surrender to him alone in much the same way as one has to attribute all kinds of worship, submission, humility and dependence on the Sender i.e. Allah, The Almighty."

Let us contemplate the high and sublime status that Abu Bakr As-Siddiq, may Allaah be pleased with him, got because he had a firm and unwavering belief in the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and thus believed him in the best way. It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah, may Allaah be pleased with her, said: "The night after the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, went on his Israa' (i.e. Night Journey to Masjid Al-Aqsa), the people began to talk about it, being in doubt about the possibility of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, being able to travel to and from Jerusalem in a single night. Some people among those who believed in him became apostate. Some other people went to Abu Bakr and said, "Have you heard what your companion is saying. He is claiming that he went to Bayt Al-Maqdis and came back to Makkah in one night!'' Abu Bakr said, "Did he say that?'' They said, "Yes.'' Abu Bakr said, "Then I bear witness that if he said that, he is speaking the truth.'' They said, "You believe that he went to Ash-Sham ﴿ Greater Syriain one night and came back to Makkah before morning'' He said, "Yes, I believe him with regard to something even more than that. I believe him with regard to the revelation that comes to him from heaven.'' That is because Abu Bakr was known as As-Siddiq (the true believer).

Amongst the amazing stories in this regard that refer to the great status of both Abu Bakr and ‘Umar is that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to his Companions, may Allaah be pleased with them: "While a shepherd was amongst his sheep, a wolf attacked them and took away one sheep. When the shepherd chased the wolf, the wolf turned towards him and said, 'Who will be its guard on the day of wild animals when nobody except I will be its shepherd. And while a man was driving a cow with a load on it, it turned towards him and spoke to him saying, 'I have not been created for this purpose, but for ploughing." The people said, "Glorified be Allah." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "But I believe in it and so does Abu Bakr and ‘Umar."
