1- Turning away from the Biography and Sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him:

At the age of thriving media, turning away from the biography, Sunnah, life and actions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, appears very clear and much care is being paid to other symbols of the prominent figures in the east and west, as people call them, whether in leadership or politics, intellect or philosophy, or in literature and manners. The most serious thing is comparing the words of those normal human beings to the words and conditions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and introducing this to the common people. Such disaster makes common people take the matter of attacking the biography and Sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, lightly and even raise doubts about his words and legislative actions which are completely revelation from our Almighty Allah. Allah, The Almighty, Says (what means): {It is not but a revelation revealed.} [Quran 53: 4]

Some minds are not attached except to the witnessed reality, contemporary minute, overwhelmed with those people, forgetting the greatness that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, lived for the living and dead people, for the present and future; rather, for the life and death.

Do you still ask the chosen (Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) to do a miracle, it is really sufficient for that he gave life to a whole nation (by convey the message of Islam for them)?

Allah, The Almighty, has called disbelief before accepting Emaan as death and Emaan as life. Allah, The Almighty, Says (what means): {And is one who was dead and We gave him life and made for him light by which to walk among the people like one who is in darkness, never to emerge therefrom?} [Quran 6: 122]

Your brother ‘Iesa (i.e. Jesus), may Allah exalted his mention, called a dead and he stood up (alive again by the permission of Allah, The Almighty), but you have given life to dead generations.

The actions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, are still and will remain independently refer properly to a great person and life that are in no need for further proof or explanation.

Nothing will be right in minds, if the daylight needs a proof.

This also includes preferring their opinions to the opinions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, their conditions to his condition and their deeds to his deeds. Unfortunately! But who do such evil things? They are the people of art and a group of the press and some of the mass media who are given authority while they do not deserve it and become leaders while they do not deserve leadership.

2- Lack of Reverence While Talking about the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him:

In our meetings and forums, it can be observed that we have spiritual negligence that appears clearly in the lack of reverence when talking about the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, as if it is a passing speech, biography of a poet, or just a story. There is no politeness while talking about him, no veneration for his Hadeeth, no reverence for the dignity of the prophetic majesty, no respect for the luminous, no care, no interest, no respect, no esteem. Allah, The Almighty, Says (what means): {O you who have believed, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet or be loud to him in speech like the loudness of some of you to others,…} [Quran 49: 2]

O People, this is the divine reverence for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Where then the human reverence not to mention the Islamic one?

Furthermore, Allah, The Almighty, prohibited people who used to call him by his name ‘O Muhammad’ as it was stated by many scholars of Tafseer (i.e. exegeses) and thus the caller takes away the honor with which the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, is distinguished; namely, Prophethood and Message. This is not absolute; however, it is the reverence that should be observed with him and thus we should contemplate it.

“Whenever ‘Abdur Rahmaan ibn Mahdi, may Allah have mercy upon him, read the Hadeeth of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, he used to order people to remain silent and thus no one should speak, nor sharpen his pen, no one should smile, no one should stand up as if birds are on their heads or as if they are offering prayer. Whenever he sees someone smiles or speaks, he used to have his slippers on and go out.”

This may be his interpretation for the first three verses in the Surah of Al-Hujuraat (Quran 49) as it was interpreted by Hammad ibn Zayd.

It was reported that Imam Maalik, may Allah have mercy upon him, had the highest regard for the Hadeeth of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and thus whenever he sits for giving the lectures of Fiqh (i.e. Islamic Jurisprudence), he used to sit in any state. However whenever he wants to recite Hadeeth, he used to wash his whole body, apply incense and perfume, wear the best of his newest clothes, wear turban, sit on his platform in submissiveness, humility and solemnity and used also to perfume the sitting from its beginning to the very end with incense as form of regarding highly the Hadeeth of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.

Therefore, the leader of the Believers ‘Umar ibn Al-Khattaab, may Allah be pleased with him, was keen on teaching people to have a high regard of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, after his death in much the same way as they did while he was alive. This is out of the perfect devotion for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Imam Al-Bukhaari, may Allah have mercy upon him, reported from As-Saa‘ib ibn Yazeed, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: “I was standing in the mosque and somebody threw a gravel at me. I looked and found that he was ‘Umar ibn Al-Khattaab. He said to me, “Fetch those two men to me.” When I did, he said to them, “Who are you? (Or) where do you come from?” They replied, “We are from At-Taa‘if.” ‘Umar said, “Were you from this city (Medina) I would have punished you for raising your voices in the mosque of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him,”
